DAY 1 :

The tour departure is early in the morning at 7:30 am by jeep to the campsite, 50 km outside of Jaisalmer, where breakfast is served in time to watch the stunning sunrise at the camp.

8:30 am to 12:00 noon – The thar camel safari starts with a visit to Bheelon ki Dhani after which the ride continues, also paying a visit to Bheelo ki Dhani (a village of tribal people).

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm – Lunch and rest in the shade of some trees near the oasis as the sun is fierce at this time of the day.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – The camel trek sets out again from Salkha village (Mixed caste village). You can watch native wild life and villages as you ride your camel through the isolated sand dunes (Keshwa).

You continue your trek across the desert, stopping on the way to watch the magical sunset before arriving at the campsite for your first night. After experiencing the desert you can start your evening by watching a delicious dinner being prepared for you over the camp fire and you can conclude your first day with the dreams of the desert while sleeping under the clear starry sky on your clean bed roll.

DAY 2 :

Get the real feel of sunrise, served with your breakfast, after which the tour continues with stimulating visits to sand dunes and villages (from Day 2 on any visits to villages are optional according to the wishes of the group; alternatively, the group can choose to enjoy the desert wild life and natural countryside with its peaceful quietness).

8:00 am to 12:00 noon – You can experience the desert environment and get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the mysterious creatures on the sand. The safari calls at Lakhmna village (a traditional village of Muslim people) and Gypsy village (a village of mixed caste).

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm – Lunch followed by rest in the shade of trees.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – The next destinations of the camel safari are Luno Ki Basti and the beautiful Sajeet sand dunes.

We stop to watch another stunning sunset and after your second day’s experiences of the desert you can again enjoy a delicious dinner, prepared for you over the camp fire. Sleeping beneath the star studded sky on your bed roll you will have more dreams of the desert.

DAY 2 :

Sunrise with breakfast served in bed after which the tour continues with exciting visits to villages and sand dunes.

8:00 am to 12:00 noon – You will once again experience the desert environment, you can view the desert vegetation and desert wild life (along with two villages on the way).

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm – Lunch and rest in the shade.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Enjoy some more camel riding and galloping on the way to our campsite and return to Jaisalmer by a one-hour jeep drive.

6:30 pm – The tour ends.

There are facilities available free of charge to leave your luggage before or after the tour if you are arriving or leaving close to the departure/return time. For a small charge there are also shower facilities available.
